SUMMARY:Album Launch - 'Loop to Hook' - John & Séamus McMahon
DESCRIPTION:Album Launch \n‘Loop to Hook’ \nJohn & Séamus McMahon \n  \nWith deep roots in the traditional music of Ennis\, Co. Clare\, brothers John and Seamus McMahon return to the music that has been at the heart of their lives for many years. \nFounder members of the renowned Fisherstreet group\, John and Seamus have long been recognised for their distinctive musicianship and their deep connection with the Clare tradition. Today\, they come together once again — not as Fisherstreet\, but as two brothers and musicians with a shared love of the music — to present their new recording\, “From Loop to Hook.” \nJohn and Séamus bring over 50 years of experience on concertina\, fiddle\, flute and whistle. Together\, their playing captures the spirit\, rhythm and character of traditional music from Clare and beyond. \nThey are joined for this recording by their former Fisherstreet accompanist\, Noreen O’Donoghue\, on harp and piano. Noreen’s sensitive and beautifully crafted accompaniment adds another dimension to the music\, while Anita Broderick makes a special guest appearance on tin whistle. \nThis evening is a celebration of music\, friendship\, family and old musical connections — bringing together musicians who have shared many years of playing. \nFrom “Loop to Hook” is more than a collection of tunes. It is a musical journey rooted in Ennis and the rich tradition of County Clare\, while looking forward to new memories\, new melodies and new musical adventures.\nJoin us on the journey — from “Loop to Hook” \n  \nDate & Time: 2pm\, 8th November 2026 \nVenue: Old Ground Hotel\, Station Rd\, Clonroad Beg\, Ennis\, Co. Clare\, V95 WDX2

SUMMARY:Album Launch - 'The Boys of Carrickroe' - The McKenna Family
DESCRIPTION:Album Launch \n‘The Boys of Carrickroe’ \nThe McKenna Family \n  \nSiblings Eugene\, Daniel\, James\, Sinéad\, Peter\, Ciarán and Catríona or The McKenna Family from Augher\, Co. Tyrone are the 4th generation of musicians in a family steeped in Irish traditional music. With strong familial and musical north Monaghan roots\, their sound reflects a deep innate musical bondage that only siblings with a shared musical upbringing can exhibit. \nThese 7 siblings are highly sought after and celebrated as both solo musicians and as a family band\, performing and touring worldwide. They have made guest appearances on numerous TV and radio broadcasts such as RTÉ’s Late Late Show\, Geantraí (TG4)\, Fleadh Live (TG4)\, and Céilí House. \nReleasing in April 2026\, the McKenna’s debut album ‘The Boys Of Carrickroe’ is a tribute to their granduncles\, the late revered fiddlers Pete and Pat McKenna of Carrickroe\, Co. Monaghan. It draws much from their musical lives via old cassette and radio recordings\, stories and repertoire. \nRooted in place and family\, it bridges past and present through a distinctive sound — a new generation of raw fiery McKenna fiddling interwoven with pipes\, harp\, box and concertina\, along with reimagined and unrecorded traditional songs from their local area and beyond. \n  \nDate & Time: 4pm\, 8th November 2026 \nVenue: Temple Gate Hotel\, The Square\, Clonroad Beg\, Ennis\, Co. Clare\, V95 HOXK
