Buttons & Bows, featuring Sligo brothers Seamus & Manus McGuire on fiddles, Cork button- accordion virtuoso Jackie Daly, and Dublin-born guitarist and mandocello supremo Garry O’Briain, is delighted to perform once again (last time 2018) at the iconic Ennis Tradfest, celebrating its 32nd year, in November 2026. The recordings of the band dating back to 1983 have all been received internationally as works of great importance to a younger generation of musicians playing today, showcasing as they do, the interaction between the interwoven music traditions of Ireland and Canada in particular, but also including the vibrant, fullsome music sound of the Shetland Islands, Denmark and Sweden.

Aisling Lyons, Muireann Ní Shé & Becky Ní Éallaithe; a performance of sean-nós song, traditional music and dance by three young women working at the forefront of Irish traditional practice. Drawing on an oral tradition that long predates the written word, the programme centres on songs and tunes passed down aurally through generations — melodies and verses that carry the stories and emotions of people in particular times and places.
The traditions of Cork, Connemara, and Clare are brought together by uilleann piper and singer Muireann Ní Shé, sean-nós dancer, singer and concertina player Becky Ní Éallaithe, and harper, concertina player and composer Aisling Lyons. Their approach treats this repertoire as living material: shaped by dialogue, collaboration, and their own experiences as young women engaging with inherited forms in a modern world.
